🐾 Story 2 - Bobby Tries to Be Elegant for a Day
A red bow. A tank top. A dream.
Bobby had been watching Lucky all week.
The way she walked - no, glided - across the room like she owned it.
The way everyone called her “Your Grace” (okay, maybe just once, but Bobby heard it).
The way she made her red dress and bow look like something out of a royal cat magazine.
And so, Bobby decided:
“I want to be elegant too.”
But elegance, as it turns out, doesn’t come in corgi size.
Scene 1: The Request
“Mum,” Bobby barked. “I need a red bow. And a dress. Like Lucky’s.”
Mum blinked. “A… what?”
“A dress. Red. Flow-y. Dramatic.”
Lucky, watching from her velvet cushion, let out the softest, most unimpressed sigh you’ve ever heard.
Bobby wasn’t giving up.
“Please? You can use Dad’s red tank top! The one he never wears but still thinks is cool.”
Scene 2: The Makeover
Ten minutes later, Bobby strutted into the living room.
He was wearing:
• A giant red bow, tied slightly off-center.
• Dad’s red tank top, loosely bunched and knotted at the side to kinda look like a dress.
He trotted proudly past Lucky.
She stared.
He twirled.
She blinked.
He tripped over the tank top hem and faceplanted into a rug.
“Still elegant,” Bobby mumbled from the floor.
Scene 3: The Sip
Next, Bobby attempted the classic “elegant sip” of oat milk.
He lifted the tiny porcelain bowl with his paw.
It immediately flipped, landed on his head, and made him look like a milk-scented lamp.
Lucky slowly turned away.
Scene 4: The Catwalk
To finish his transformation, Bobby attempted a runway walk down the hallway.
He took three steps.
The “dress” slipped.
His bow spun around to the back.
And his tail got stuck in the hem.
He waddled.
He wobbled.
He yelped.
Lucky watched from the end of the hall.
“I give you one point,” she said.
Bobby perked up. “Out of ten?”
“Out of pity.”
Scene 5: The Moment
Embarrassed but determined, Bobby climbed up beside Lucky and sat down, dress crumpled and bow dangling off one ear.
“I tried,” he sighed. “I just wanted to feel like you.
Lucky looked at him.
Then, with a quiet flick of her tail, she scooted over.
“You’re ridiculous,” she said.
“But you’re you.”
Bobby grinned. “So… still elegant?”
She smirked. “Elegantly chaotic.”

Because elegance isn’t about clothes. It’s about confidence (and maybe a little clumsiness too).
